Based around a one night game jam, ALONE was lovingly created over a short 8 month period by Laser Dog’s Rob Allison and Simon Renshaw. Curious players may discover the original game jam prototype for themselves as an easter egg, hidden away in the main game.

Gorgeous, stylized visuals and a frenetic soundtrack are the hallmarks of this blazingly fast endless flyer. You’ll rip through crumbling caves and asteroid-dotted spacescapes at intoxicating speeds, pushing for that euphoric sense of satisfaction you get every time you nudge your best score even higher. It’s dangerous to go Alone…but so much fun.
Brilliant Game
This game is really good. The art style is simple yet beautiful. The soundtrack is amazing. The gameplay is really solid too. The high sensitivity combined with the 'radar' (of sorts) for big objects allows you to deal with whatever the random generation deals you (if you have the skill). This game also has really neat little things about it that make it so much better. The way the tiny rocks bounce off you or the way your ship takes visual damage are really nice touches. The interface is really clean too.
While the price may be a bit high for an endless 'runner' I feel that it's justified in this case. I would strongly recommend you try this game out.
It's a game, and it works.
This is a spin on the classic helicopter flash game. The controls are overtly responsive (by design), so it is easy to lose control whilst navigating the cave. Like the flash game, the terrain is hard to predict often you over correct. The ability use your shield to smash through asteroids is neat addition to the formula.
The visuals are clean and simple, although you do not have time to look at it, if you do, you'll die. The game has great music and sound design, the use of audio cues allows you to concentrate on what your doing, but still know what's going on.
However, is it fun? No, not really. It's another play on the old mobile gaming formula, it does nothing new, it just exists. If you like that sort of thing, go ahead, I am sure you won't be disappointed. However, if your looking for an enriching gaming experience, you won't find it here.
