Great app. So well read. A couple of small issues.
The perfect voice for a bible reading app. He is magnificent to listen to and I find that he makes me appreciate familiar passages in a different way. I really appreciate the effort this recording must have taken. He clearly worked hard to understand the passage so as to read it with the right inflections.
As for the app itself. I listen in the car. When the car stops he sometimes starts reading in my pocket. He can read all day if my volume is down and completely drain the battery.
Also when I listen in the car the app doesn’t remember where I got up to. So even if he’s read for a couple of extra hours in my pocket the app still marks where I’m up to as being where I started from that day in the car.
Good app, poor sleep timer options
Overall good app, the voice is good and easy to listen to. I find it annoying that the only option for playing the audio is verse-by-verse or endless reading. There is a sleep timer but it’s only time based. I’d like to be able to set it to stop at the end of a chapter/psalm so you can hear a complete segment and then stop and reflect on that.
An excellent resource for reading the Bible
This is one of the best audio readings from the Bible that I have used. David Suchet has done an excellent job at bringing the scriptures alive. I am using this app to read the Bible cover to cover.
A couple of users have commented that this app does not allow the user to pick up from where one was last reading. Not correct. Simply pause the reading at the bottom of the page and when you open the app next time, open up the reading panel (speaker icon top right) and select the reading you were last reading. Works brilliantly!
