Accuracy

All looks good, lots of explanations although sometimes very superficial eg ‘average based on a short period of time’ - what does ‘short’ mean - few days, weeks. Months, years? The definition of short is important to give words a proper relevance to whether it’s hotter or colder than ….. the average of the last few days????
The graphics are good too.
The weather prediction is not good. Wherever that info comes from is a very bad source. The average (checking that app over many years) accuracy is only 50%.
Summing up - app very good, content not reliable at all

Average - much better alternatives available

Whilst, the app first impressions visually are positive, overall it’s pretty average functionality wise.

I am surprised this was one of the most rated weather apps before App purchased it.

The weather radar is pretty hopeless. The time scale is massive, so it jumps in such large increments you are hard pressed to get an idea what’s happening now. Ok, you can get an idea of what’s coming but it’s guess work in reality.

The colour grading of the severity of the weather is baffling. With blue light rain (fair enough) but extreme weather as white!! Really, for one white almost loses itself amongst the other colours. It goes completely against all convention of grading.

Common sense would say light rain is white, going to blue going to orange going to red and then black or dark red for extreme.

It would also be much better that you can access or to precipitation radar as default as it’s a few clicks to get there. It’s the one thing I use a lot. I have been using Willy weather and that is so good from intuitively and the radar is perfect, I can see what is coming now and happening now really really easy, I can see tides, wave height etc. yes this isn’t relevant to everyone so I guess that’s why it’s not on the Apple Weather app.

It’s a real shame that the Apple weather app radar can’t be improved because it’s a nice glossy looking app so I alway find myself having to go to Willy weather to see what’s happening now!

Pretty good, but…

I’d really like it if I there was a way to add a location that a friend lives at. Say “Andrew home”, and then it appears as “Andrew @ Home (Clydesdale)”. Or if I could load my own details (say, work, home, etc), and it would just say something like “Work @ City”

Maybe being able to edit the city name would achieve this, or a separate tab, or something.

Because let’s face it, when I look up the weather in a specific place, there’s a reason why I care about the weather in that place
