Less is more

Fantastic example of less is more on an air quality app. Within seconds of opening you know whether your windows should be open or not and how long you should be spending outside.

Especially useful right now in Australia with the bushfires constantly throwing air quality between okay and terrible in a matter of hours.

Used to be good

The app used to take only official air quality data so you knew what you were reading. Not it utilises open access data time show many more map data points. That is nice in theory of course but practically suffers from that open source data often not representing what outside air quality is like. I have often seen values of over 200 and less than 30 next to each other. One is likely indoors in a filtered environment and the other reflects actual outdoor conditions (there are bushfires nearby). This is as bad if not worse then the algorithms some apps use which seem equally poor and estimating air quality when you you need it (that is when it’s not just good). The problem is you can’t tell what is what, it is very misleading and easy to think the wrong data is correct.

Really disappointed the app went this way, especially when we need robust data with all the poor air quality we are getting at the moment.

Quite well polished app!

I haven’t used it lately, but there are bushfires today and I can see it’s bad here. For some reason if I tap on Naremburn (NSW, Australia) and swipe up to try to see more, the app crashes. Has happened twice. Was there a buggy update recently?

Really, really love this app. It's beautiful AND useful!

I'd say this is the best China AQI monitoring app on iOS. Most feature complete, lest buggy, best design, continual updates. It was worth paying to help the developer. Thanks!

Design is beautiful, and having the weather as well as notifications when it gets worse is pretty cool.

Less detailed info as Air Quality China app (you get to choose different monitoring stations per city and display average or max values per city, as well as choose US AQI levels) but this is very helpful still.
