NOISE 4+

Please please make these happen in your app in order to make it a super powerful tool for making music. This app really lacks creativity but there’s still some problems. I paid for blocks in very expensive amount and I feel I’m very limited.
1. Add importing our own sound and something like drum rack to import samples
2. Add importing our own loop via iTunes file sharing to expand our options and not just relying on presets
3. Make it a bit faster because it lags a bit
4. Something like sampler so we can chop loops and make new kits
5. Overdubbing because it’s very annoying to undo and redo the recording stuff

This app is actually pretty cool but needs A LOT OF IMPROVEMENT.

Another total garbage software application from Roli, just keeps crashing ... what the hell are these people doing?!

To add insult to injury, the entire Blocks product line is overpriced junk. I cannot get any of their Blocks (Seaboard, Lightpad, or any of the 3 Control blocks; Live, Loop or Touch) to pair over Bluetooth on any number of different models of iPad or iPhone. And the problems with their hardware, I could write a tome on these alone - batteries dying and un-replaceable rendering the very expensive hardware useless, unable to update firmware, Lightpad surfaces triggering notes/instruments when not touched, glitchy USB-C hard connections to laptop causing hardware to intermittently disconnect, tickets raised with technical support not being answered correctly or clueless as to how to resolve issues (on top of having to wait over 2 months to get a response!) ... and the list goes on. And it’s not just me who’s plagued with these issues, forums abound with tales of woe from many users.

Roland Lamb should be ashamed of himself as to what the product he’s put his name is too has become. And Pharrell Williams should reevaluate his association with such low quality product from this disreputable and grubby brand.

The MPE instrument concept has huge potential and is very rewarding when it works - just don’t expect to realise it with any of the hardware or software that Roli manufactures.

Zero stars, if I could give it...

I previously used Noise with AUM as an audio unit as the standalone user interface is rubbish. But now it no longer works. After spending an hour or so looking at their “support” site seeing no reference to any problems I tried to raise a ticket. After following around 5 pre-questions site finally came clean with a “some users are experiencing issues with… ….we are no longer developing this software” response. I.e. no it doesn’t work and we have no intention to fix it. Says it all - do not buy Roli if you intend to use with Noise on iPad or iPhone. All the money I spent on sound packs is now wasted. Songs set up to use them need to be reworked. Magellan 2 works ok so does Volt. But if I had my time again I’d avoid Roli like the plague and buy some other mpe surface.
