It only takes about five minutes to realize just how strange Severed is. But to rescue your family, you’re going to have to dive right in, mastering the excellent swipe-based combat, travelling through a magical realm filled with danger, and—yeah—collecting some severed limbs. Like we said, it’s a little weird. But this Apple Design Award winner is also gorgeous, atmospheric, and totally memorable.
AMAZING GAME
This game is so unlike anything I've ever played before on ANY platform - it's by far the most in-depth, surreal, engaging game I've ever gotten from the Apple Store. I'm always looking for long, challenging games that aren't simple and repetitive, and they are far and few between. This game grabs you from the start - I have been playing for 3 hours straight and I'm about 25% done. The artwork is stunningly unique, the music is hauntingly beautiful, the gameplay is unique yet intuitive - far from repetitive - and the story is unlike any other.
I'm usually one of those "rate later" people, but I couldn't wait to share my review of this one. If you love immersive gameplay, with exploration, an RPG element, and a story that's full of surprises, you will LOVE this game. I wish I could give it double the stars, and I would have paid double the price given the incredible detail and the gripping nature of this game. You HAVE to try it - you won't be disappointed! I'm already sad that eventually it's going to end, because I know it'll be a LONG while before I find anything that compares to this game any time soon!
