Description
The Driver’s Guide is a vehicle-specific* Owner's Handbook for selected BMW models**.
When using this system for the first time, you require an Internet connection. Once you have entered the vehicle identification number (VIN) the Owner's Handbook that matches your vehicle is downloaded and is then also available without an internet connection. Within the Driver's Guide you can manage a number of vehicles.
Find out about the benefits of your vehicle with the complete Owner's Handbook, a Picture Search or explanatory animations. The better you know the vehicle, the less effort you need when driving.
Depending on the specific vehicle, all or a selection of the following content is available to you:
- The complete Owner's Handbook.
- Brief instructions.
- A search by topics.
- A search by pictures to find functions.
- Explanatory animations.
- Smart Scan. Obtain targeted information on individual operating elements with the help of the smartphone camera.
- Solutions depending on the situation, on the basis of quick links.
- Explanations of the warning and indicator lamps.
- Answers to frequently asked questions (FAQ).

Parks BMW Hamilton
After buying my first BMW from Parks Hamilton I was pleased by the level of attention to detail given by the salesman Danny who took time explaining all of the cars features . He also downloaded the BMW app which I used to refresh my memory on all the cars functions .
Using this app I have now became really familiar with the car and I am maximising my BMW driving experience . I would highly recommend anyone buying a quality car to visit BMW .

Very user-friendly and easy to use
Many manuals require you to do lots of searching with this app that has an insert function which will allow you to get to the information that you need. I’ve only had my vehicle for one week and already I know all the functions into vehicle
Manual doesn’t match the car
2023 G26, March ‘23 build.
On 1st March BMW changed the ‘gear selector’ from the classic knob to the new skier switch. Manual for my car, using my VIN doesn’t actually match the car itself.
Functions shown as being available actually don’t exist for the i4 (such as Remote Parking) but still show up in the ‘How To’ videos.
Despite deleting and reinstalling the manual, it’s still wrong almost 4 months later.
If you’re going to make an App with the downloadable manual for a vehicle, then at least make it match the car it’s to be used with.
