Stuck on a puzzle? There are over 1.2 MILLION player submitted solutions at http://trainyard.ca/solutions

Trainyard Express is a puzzle solving game unlike any that you've ever played. It's easy to learn but very tough to master. Your job is simple: get each train to a goal station. Red trains go to red stations, blue trains go to blue stations, etc. You control the trains by drawing track for them to follow. There isn't a time limit or even a score; the only thing you need to do is figure out a solution for each puzzle.

The first few puzzles are almost too easy, but as the difficulty increases you'll be thankful that you were able to practice the fundamentals of drawing track. As the game progresses, you'll have to use basic colour theory to combine trains of different colours, use timing to merge, and use every inch of your brain in your quest to beat the game.

Proudly made in Canada.

Known issues (minor):

- If some provinces can't be unlocked even after you've solved all the available puzzles, that's a bug: Go to options, switch to player 2 then back to player 1 to fix it.

- Sometimes, the sounds stop working. Close the app using the multitasking bar to get sounds back.

Trainyard Express makes use of these excellent libraries:

Train yard

Nice wee puzzler that coordinates mind and eye and colours and can be ooooooh! Sooooo! Frustrating till those solutions drop into place for ya. Puzzles build gradually with tuition sessions available to remind you of the various elements and options available to you. It's a cracking game for whiling away the time on the plane or the train. I'm still using the free version but pretty sure I'll purchase the full one when I've completed this, as its really quite addictive and you don't want the wee buggers tae beat ye.
Oh btw I'm a new to IPad noobie. In case that helps anybody wi choosing this game..... It's just great fun!

Perfect balance of brain-teaser and fun

I wasn't sure what to expect with this app, but figured I'd give it a go since it's free! When I finally got round to trying it out, I was pleasantly surprised. OK, the graphics aren't state of art, but they don't really need to be. The tutorials are clear and well thought out (hint: you really need to check them out or you'll be scratching your head in confusion). The puzzles gradually increase in difficulty, which means that there is hours of fun to be had. This is my new favourite!

Deceptively easy to start

Absolutely brilliant. It starts off very easy, and introduces you to all the various techniques required along the way. And soon, the problems are becoming seemingly impossible, and despite your frustration you find it hard to put down, feeling the need to solve the puzzle as quick as possible. With no time limit and as many trial and errors as you want, it is purely a game of logic. Perfect for filling up long journeys, I have countless times missed my bus stop thanks to playing this game!!
