Description
Link to MIDI = Ableton Link to MIDI Clock Sync.
Link to MIDI connects Ableton Link to musical devices that support MIDI Clock Sync. Simply join a Link session, connect your MIDI device, and that's it. Your MIDI device is now Link-enabled.
Link to Midi features launch quantization, an incredibly stable clock output, and a fine offset control (±250 ms) to perfectly line up the receiving MIDI device's playback.
Note:
Link to MIDI is only recommended for use with hardware MIDI devices. Connecting to apps is possible, but may lead to a poor user experience due to software challenges in synchronizing to MIDI Clock. Ableton Link fixes this.

Perfect
Used this with Arturia sparkLE Drum Machine, Arturia Microbrute and my Juno which is fairly getting on a bit and has occasional clock drift when linking with traditional midi-midi leads. But using all 3, the Juno simply as a midi keyboard controller, Ableton Link is one of the best things to ever happen on iOS and if it weren’t for Link and Audiobus, music production on iDevices would still be in the Stone Age.
This app keeps a really tight MIDI clock and the sheer number of hours I’ve used it, I’ve not noticed a single flaw.
It really is perfectly made - not essential obviously but seeing as Ableton Link now pretty much comes as standard in all new and is being added to most older audio apps it’s obviously here to stay - such a simple concept with such a huge impact on how music can be made on Apple devices with Hardware connected. With this there’s no need to rely on one piece of hardware’s internal clock to keep the whole lot in sync, this just sits there doing its thing without any problems or annoyances.
Whoever came up with using Ableton Link with IAA is a genius but so is the dev of this small, simple but extremely important app.

It works. Does what AUM couldn’t do for me. So this is my new click for external gear.
Where AUM behaved strangely, this just works. So I disabled external sync in AUM and just use this synced to all iOS with link.
Great but can’t offset latency in 17.2.1
Great app I’ve used for years but adjusting latency in iOS 17.2.1 crashes the app every time. Need to search for an alternative now
