Some excellent resources, needs improvement

I was recommended by a mental health nurse to download this app following a suicide attempt. I have used all of its features, including the life box and the safety plan and the many links to helplines, web chats and other helpful sites. It’s very simple to use, and not at all complicated or overly colourful - as that can be off-putting and frustrating when you’re in a dark, low mood. If I feel myself on the brink of a crisis again, I know I can use the advice available on the app, or contact one of the many helplines or organisations it lists. It also gives me a place to put other personal contacts I can go to for help. The breathing exercise is also good for a simple inhale-exhale thing you can do when it all gets too much.

As for improvements, perhaps certain pages on the app could be quicker and easier to reach in less clicks. The design could do with a smoother update. And it could have more options to customise the app to meet the specific needs of each user - e.g. easily available resources on a particular issue that the user can put on their homepage, whether it’s addiction or self-harm or bipolar, etc.

Age Restriction

The App itself is brilliant. Full of information you need in a time of crisis.

Unfortunately more and more people are becoming depressed. In my 20 years of being alive I’ve heard of Atleast 7 incidents where children in primary school have committed suicide.

This is really disturbing. I hope that the age restriction can be lowered as many young people who have committed suicide at such a young age are not able to get help from people close to them (not all but some)

Mental health is a BIG issue! Covid-19 is impacting people of all ages and this really needs to be addressed. Instead of being left to worry in fear and uncertainty, lets make a difference in mental well-being.

Stress is one of the number one causes for health issues, including weakened immune systems. Improving our overall health will have outstanding results.

Great app overall! Just wish the age restriction was lower or unrestricted so anyone can use this.

Good but age restrictions

This is a good app for mental health and stuff but the age restrictions should be lowered as I’m 13 and have had depression since I was 11 and I know for a fact many primary school children have depression but adults put it off cause they’re kids. This is why the age restrictions should be lowered, so that kids can get the help they’re needing as well. Apart from that this is good 😁
