Very bad app
It is clearly shown The Edge most of their money on making their prints insteadnof digitalisation. It will be one of the companies that fall behind in the world full of rapid changes.
Now for constructive criticism:
1. Straightaway uses PDF for their newspaper, making it very hard to navigate through the issues;
2. Whenever you go out of the app or close it, it won’t start back to the page you left off. I needed to scroll to the page that I read last;
3. They should allow payment through e-wallets instead of only cards or online banking;
4. The app is not optimised at all. Crashes from time to time.
If there was an award for “the most useless app but has massive potential to be disruptor for other news sources through digitalisation”, it would be The Edge app.
Unable to download and improve please
I logged in to a few devices, had it logged out, and now I am unable to download main paper and pullouts from my main device. No matter how I uninstall and reinstall app, restart device, I keep getting the same error saying I am logged into too many devices when I am only logged into two device for now. What am I paying for when I can’t read on my main device with wider screen? The texts you provide are so small.
Suggestion on Improvements
Hi The Edge Digital Team,
I personally think there are a few room of improvements you can make to enhance readers experience,
1. Tilt/read horizontally will be better for me to read through an article easily especially whole page with 1 topic.
2. FAQ section did not drop down.
3. User interface could look better if comes with updated look.
4. Tab at bottom of the screen sometimes difficult to press as it collided with my iPhone 11 home “button”.
Overall, good experience with the edge digital newspaper by going digital, now I can access the papers everywhere I go. I looking forward for more improvement in future updates 😊
