Great business but the app needs a lot of work.

Designer Wardrobe is one of my favourite discoveries since being in NZ. I love the promotion of buying sustainably, the quality of what people sell is great, and the interviews the team have with local designers, stylists, influencers are done well.
The app- it has a great layout and format.
It also has a lot of bugs & glitches.
The below is more for the app dev team to look at resolving:
- can’t easily re-open messages between seller and buyer- sometimes it errors, sometimes it shows no messages at all (and yet push notifications alert you that a message is there).
- tracking numbers: you can add them as a seller. As a buyer if you click on the tracking number it doesn’t take you to the actual parcel tracking info- it links to NZ post site but not to the specific tracking link for your parcel. this would be served better by using an api call to pull the information through into the app.
- listing items: sometimes when listing multiple items in a row, 1 of the items won’t appear after you’ve submitted it in your For Sale list. This is frustrating as you don’t know if the item is coming up for other users or not.
- making an offer on an item: I’ve previously had a seller let me know my offer wasn’t showing for them to accept (despite them receiving a notification I’d sent one). I had to submit a new offer again and then it went through.

Hey there! Thanks so much for this detailed review, we really appreciate that you're loving Designer Wardrobe :)

- There are some members that are having this issue, and we are getting this fixed in the next release so that messages always show up in the main inbox. At the moment, you can always view it on the web.
- This should link directly to the tracking number in NZ Post - could you please send me email that you use to login and I can take a look at what may have happened? aidan@designerwardrobe.co.nz
- Sometimes, listings do you flagged for internal review (just to keep quality consistent). However, we appreciate this isn't as clear as it should be on the app so we're working on this.
- We aren't getting reports of this - could you please email me and I can take a look?

Please let me know if you have any more feedback :)

So far, good concept but I’m not impressed.

So, as another reviewer said, push notifications would be great. But there aren’t any at all, which is incredibly dangerous since the products are all so high in price. For example, you can only dispute an order for up to 24 hours after the tracking says it has been received. But what if you aren’t actively tracking it? The tracking is shown within the app, but you aren’t told anything, so you may not receive your order, thinking you’ll get a notification about the tracking, and then not be able to dispute it at all. Also, in the dispute form every line is formatted as if it’s an email, so don’t expect ease of use there. And there’s no way to track a dispute, or a confirmation that your dispute has gone through — again, this is so dangerous when you are dealing with hundreds of dollars. Until the issues are fixed, I’d suggest save your time and use TradeMe or another option, because right now it’s much too risky. I mean, signatures for expensive items aren’t required at all.

Hi Larry - thanks for your review here! Push notifications are now fixed - so sorry about the hassles there. Regarding Purchase Protection - we think we're the safest platform available. The 24 hour inspection period only applies when an item has been tracked, not when it hasn't. If an item hasn't been tracked, you will get 7 days. You should, however, be receiving a confirmation that your dispute has been initiated (via email), so that's something we'd love to look into. Could you please email me on jo@designerwardrobe.co.nz - Jo :)

Great product but app is more difficult to use than the wesbite

I have been an avid user of Deisgner Wardrobe for many years, beginning in the Facebook group. I absolutely love buying second hand quality clothing and the added security of the website. However, th e app often crashes and does not let you view your full watch list (you can only view the latest 10). Also, I believe the wesbite, as well as the app, do not let you Edit shipping costs of descriptions or delete an item if you have an offer waiting. Overall still a fantastic service that I will continue to use but a little bit of software work would make it much user friendly ☺️
