Siri Shortcuts deliver a quick way to get things done with your apps with just a tap or by asking Siri. The Shortcuts app enables you to create personal shortcuts with multiple steps from your favourite apps. Start from hundreds of examples in the Gallery or drag and drop to create your own.

Shortcuts includes over 300 built-in actions and works with many of your favourite apps including Contacts, Calendar, Maps, Music, Photos, Camera, Reminders, Safari, Health as well as any app that supports Siri Shortcuts.

Use the Shortcuts app to:
* Get directions home, send your ETA and start listening to the news, just by asking Siri
* Add a Home screen icon that calls a loved one
* Make animated GIFs
* Make PDFs from Safari or any app with a share sheet
* Get directions to the nearest coffee shop in one tap
* Tweet the song you're listening to
* Get all the images on a web page
* Send a message including the last screenshot you took
* And so much more...

Shortcuts can be launched from the Today widget, from Search or by asking Siri. You can even add an app icon to your Home screen for your favourite Shortcuts.

Shortcuts opens up incredible possibilities to automate things you do regularly on your iPhone and iPad.

To improve

Please add an option to:
Play music using AirPlay 2 on any AirPlay 2 speakers
Trigger shortcut basing on time or location
Improve stability! “There was a problem with the app”. When there is a part of shortcut that requires unlocked phone (ex. Health data), please let shortcut ask for phone unlock rather than give an error.

Bravo Apple!

Bravo Apple, great idea and long awaited solutions to many cumbersome limitations of iOS, such as simply its inability to automatically disable all wireless communication or enable do-not-disturb mode. However, I can’t find an option for triggering automation really fully automatically , I.e without asking me about my permission/waiting for me tapping on a notification on lock screen. Without that it is barely an automation!

Worse, I have written all the above with iphone in mind, the version on ipad is a far cry even from it. One most painfully and staggeringly experiences the total incompability so that shortcuts created on iphone refuse to work on ipad , and as for the automation - there is no automation on ipad at all! - incredible, pityful, and hard to believe! In nutshell, the shortucts on ipad are a mere shadow of the ones on iPhone and are completely useless for the most part.

Speaking of automation:
You could also widen the functionality of MAC Automator. Currently there is quite a lot basic things one cannot achieve with it.

Overall, it is great that you Apple develops this very useful stuff but there is quite a long road ahead, in particular for iPad.

It’s great and I use it everyday but I’m disappointed

I can built many advanced flows but original Workflow app had ability to run them from the Watch as well, please add that! Also creation of longer flows is very tedious on a small iPhone screen, would be great to do that through the Mac app. Unfortunately the way the whole thing syncs between iPad and iPhone doesn’t let you easily tell which is the latest version you’re working on (whether it was synced from another device yet) etc etc. it’s made to be powerful but lacks some things that would really allow that.
