Free the inspector from its popover shackles

Lifelong fan of Keynote here, all the way back to 1.0. It’s clearly still the ultimate piece of software of its kind, but the iPad UI needs to grow up. Limiting the inspector to popovers on everything except the 12.9” iPad Pro is, at this point in time, lazy. The area a slide would be afforded on an 11” iPad Pro if the persistent inspector panel were to its right is more than sufficient already. Compound this with the navigator’s ability to hide dynamically as well as the fact that zooming is so much easier on iPadOS than Mac, and you realize that even smaller iPads might be ok with this approach. Additionally, more advanced and adaptive ways of surfacing inspector-like UIs have evolved in both third and first party apps. A lot of screen real estate would be available to a horizontal version of the inspector, given that slides gravitate heavily toward 16:9 dimensions, while iPads display them on a 4:3 screen and move that ratio even further away from 16:9 due to the space needed for the navigator.

So cool

When I got my iPad, I saw this app all the time and I thought, “ Why do they put this app on here, I don’t think we would need it.” ZThen, it was getting closer to my dads sisters birthday. She took care of us when my mom was in the hospital and spent nearly all her money on us. I thought she really did something really special for everything she did so I decided I would look through the apps that I’ve never been on and I came up to the Keynote app.I tried it out and I saw that you could use by and I decided that I would you know just kinda like put some nice birthday stuff on there. Put a nice happy birthday song and have some nice note her husband had some things I wanted to say to her you know romance, so we decided that he could pick some poems on there. Then there can my uncle/my aunt which is the birthday girls brother. And he said what are you doing for the a lot of my iPad when I was on keto and I told him that I was really making a surprise for my aunt. Let’s call her candy. My uncle also wanted to do something so he said let’s go get some balloons and cake. Then in the evening of her birthday we got the cake from Maya and the balloons from a party place and the things you like the most was the presentation on keynote. It made her super happy.

Math lectures

This is a fantastic app! I now use it for all of my math lectures. Some requested features: Please animate Bézier curves with magic move in the same way that lines and boxes are animated. Please allow the ability to save custom shapes. I have a set of shapes with specific style settings for borders, shadows, etc that I use repeatedly. I know there is a My Shapes area but it does not save style settings for the objects. When in presentation mode I would like to hide the annotation color palette over the hdmi signal so I can see it but my audience cannot. I tend to use every square inch of the screen and this will cover it up. I love that there is now the ability to customize the menu bar! Thanks for that! I often need to go into settings to toggle the snapping “center”, “edge” or “spacing” alignments. It would be amazing if I could have a toggle for each of these in the menu bar.

Also it would be great if I could add a live app view or web view in my slides.
