CnX Player - Play & Cast 4+

Only player that plays x265 smoothly on iPad Air 1

The only player that plays hevc files smoothly. There are caveats which can be fixed so please take this as constructive criticism.

Firstly 10bit hevc files don't play. I'll increase one star once the support is there, which I read will come soon. Second the UI is unintuitive. To try to delete a video, pressing the edit button and then showing the option to delete is something that took me a few minutes to figure out. A very simple alternative is just allow multi select/ edit mode to come up when a video is long pressed where deletes can happen. Even the progress window does not close on its own once the deletes are complete. IMO the UI needs a lot of polishing. Good to have features:
1) Picture in picture support would be great to have
2) If this player can support UPnP, this would be the perfect alternative to infuse.1

A question to the devs: I'm curious. Does the 8bit hevc play using hardware or software decoder on the A7 chip? A small indicator when playing the video would be nice.

* There is multi select delete

Regarding the codec usage, by default we use hardware codecs. the indication for codec usage is in the video options screen.

For the following suggestion, again a very big thank you ! These are the features which we will be providing soon and yes , CnX will then be the Best Player :-)

I've pretty much tried every media/ video player available and so far this is excellent. Nice interface cool features I hope they continue to improve this app. Doesn't crash like other top media players. also, being able to view the video thumbnail preview is a feature that adds to the quality.

Maybe can play videos, I never found out

There's no easy way to get content into it since it can't connect to servers of any kind. Forget playing videos stored on a NAS for example. After manually downloading a video with another app and sharing it to this one it tells me I need "professional codecs" to play it. Just a run of the mill HEVC video. With the experience so far I'm not ready to link down $10 to find out if it can even do the job on the device and then another $15 to get it out to my streaming stick.
